Sports Idols

The Sports Idols exhibition in the Ski Museum focused on Finnish sports heroes and fan culture. For the exhibition, the museum studied and recorded information about these phenomena. Opened on 28  March 2014, the exhibition was arranged in collaboration with the Sports Museum of Finland and the Finnish Ice Hockey Museum. The Ski Museum’s contribution to the exhibition was kept on display until 31 December 2015. The survey gathering information about Finns’ sports idols closed on 17 March 2014. The results of the survey were published on the Urheiluidolit (‘Sports Idols’) website. There was also a drawing for a prize for the respondents to the survey.
